Reboot in each updating
« on: April 13, 2004, 08:39:32 PM »
When I start my computer, avast updates the database, and it allways finds a new version, so it ask me to reboot.

So I reboot and it finds another new version ... and so on ...

What can I do  ???

Thanks

Strange, something could be corrupted in your avast installation. Did you try to uninstall/boot/install/boot again? Or use the 'Repair' function at the Control Panel?

There is something fishy going on there.

Are you 100% sure you've got the latest version of the program? (right click on ball, About, it should be 4.1.357). Older versions may have the problem.

If you have it, I'd need you to run 'ashbug /setuplog' from the commandline (you must be in avast's directory). Write few words about your problem in the box, also put there your forum handle).

thanks,
