Avast 4.8 Professional Build 4.8.1296 works perfect with Windows 7 Beta 1 Build 7000 Ultimate Edition. No problems whatsoever.

I just wanted to get that out to ya guys for confirmation and whatnot..  ;D

Did this install as is or did you have to run this in "compatible" mode, I had heard a couple of different stories on this?

I didn't need any compatible mode or anything like that...
I installed Seven like any other windows and then installed things like avast, an office-demo, some browsers and everything worked well...

(the only problem appeared when i wanted to install superantispyware i think or some other antispyware-application (cant remember exactly); because this produced a bluescreen every times i wanted to start the application)
so i removed it and still have no problems with any application (all running normally)
[experience with build 6956]

I am also running Avast Home on build 7100 x64 and it is running fine with one problem so far.  If Avast finds something it pops up the standard dialog but no matter what I select it responds with another dialog that the OS is not allowing it to move/delete etc.  I suspect it is a permissions issue but don't know how to solve it.

Any ideas?

Are you talking about an on-demand scan (e.g. Simple User Interface), or resident protection?
Are you logged on as an administrator?
Thanks.

These are being found as a resident scan and I am logged on as administrator.

Any suggestions on how to solve this permission's problem?  Is a reinstall going to have any effect?

I'm afraid I wasn't able to reproduce such behavior here (everything works as expected).
What was the particular detected filename? Is it possible that the executable (if it was an executable) was currently running?
