Current Scanner Status Still At 0% Complete
« on: January 08, 2009, 02:07:08 PM »
How come on my avast home scanner it is scanning, but it still says 0% complete?
Why is it doing this?

It already scanned 303,836 files and it still says 0%

if you buy a pro key and you enter it there is a counter which shows you the days left if you start the avast user interface.
also you see in the about-section the date when it expires.

it is the same like you see it in the home-version.
some time before it expires a message comes up that the key is going to expire soon and you know that you should get a new one... :)

a torough scan is the most intensive one and of course can take a while...
and if you have many files to scan it can be, that it takes quiet long... :-\

as long as you see avast scanning everything should be ok - if the scan finishes and there are still 0% there is something not working correct...

Okay I'll be checking to see if it's 0% when it finishes so I can see if theres something wrong.
Cause' Before I did a thorough scan and the percent went up as the files got bigger now it's still 0% when it's at 296k files.
I wonder what's causing this.

unfortunately i don't know how the counting of the percent works, so i can't say if it really is correct or incorrect...
probably someone else can clear that up :)
