VRT1.tmp file infected
« on: February 12, 2009, 06:46:22 PM »
My PC seems to run OK but each time I turn it on, Avast find a Win32:Trojan-Gen that infected the file C:\Windows\Temp\VRT1.tmp.
Avast suggest me to move to chest.

I do it but each time I reset the PC, Avast show the message again.

This occur ONLY if I connect the modem!!

I tried Spybot, SuperAntispyware, DrWebCureIt, Ccleaner (all in Safe Mode) but no one resolve the problem.

What can I do??

Hi zor17,

Try to run this tool in safe mode: http://www.free-av.de/en/tools/12/avira_antivir_rescue_system.html

Cybersecurity is more of an attitude than anything else. Avast Evangelists.

Use NoScript, a limited user account and a virtual machine and be safe(r)!
