Howdy,

Definitely my first time to post on this site and in general.

Problem: Windows security center is pissing me off saying "that Virus Scan is not updated (when it is )". Originally I had windows security center say I had too many antivirus softwares. I went to service and windows instrumentation and did all that jazz and rebooted my computer to have it now tell me that Virus Scan enterprises is not updated.

Help Anyone? That red button is annoying

Check the system date (double click the clock in the tray), ensure that the day/month/year are correct and adjust as required.

What windows version and SP version do you have ?

Have (or did) you another AV installed in this system, if so what was it and how did you get rid of it ?

If what David said does not work, know that, sometimes, Windows Security Center stop recognizing your antivirus or firewall... So, check also http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=23457.msg193534#msg193534

Ok I have Microsoft Xp and Service Pack 3.

I am not really sure what other anitvirus software I had. At one point I was looking in the registry under windows security center and what it was monitoring and there were a bunch of them. Are these the ones you are referring to?

Thanks

P.S.---Date and time are correct
