"Win32: Trogan-gen. {VC}
« on: June 05, 2003, 08:02:45 PM »
I ran Avast 4 VPS:0305-5- And it detected (2) Win 32:Trojan-gen {VC} in my C:\_RESTORE\TEMP\A0006523.CPY
When I attempted to repair - I got a "Access is denied"
When I attempted to delete- I got a "Access is denied"
Any ideas? ???

It could be a false alarm. You may send it to support@asw.cz to confirm it. It is stored in your  System restore folder you can delete it by disable and enable it.  Here  are the instructions how to do it:

Thats because Win98 does not have a Systemrestore! :)
You can try to delete that Trojan in (Windows) Safe Mode, or by starting or shutdown your Computer to MSDOS and delete it then.

To avoid a false alarm you can send the file to support@asw.cz, or to get you better help you can use this link and see what Virusname was given to that Virus from KAV:  http://www.kaspersky.com/remoteviruschk.html

No not really. And i do not know your Computer knowledge. Starting in Safemode(by pressing "F8" Key on Startup) and let Avast then scan and delete the file is the easier way.

I had this virus and I scheduled a boot scan in Avast.  When I rebooted my machine, it found and erased four Trojan-gen viruses.
