Avast Professional Edition 4.8.2090
Where did you see this info?
Maybe an internal version running with Alwil team...

Perhaps it was obtained from one of the many bad sites shown below in both the ScanDoo/google search and the included images.

http://g.s.scandoo.com/search?hl=en&q=Avast+Professional+Edition+4.8.2090&btnG=Search

The images are from the first & second pages of the search results.
There are too many search result pages (65) for this.

Man, how stupid could be the Internet... people who want something really cracked, or download it by P2P, should, at least, check in the official site the latest version. This is a very common trick to deploy viruses, promoting a new, unique, version of an application.

hoho... I was not aware of that trick.

In fact I find it odd to download security applications from third party sites. There is no control over what you get in the end.

it wouldn't be usual Alwil-behaviour to update the 1335 version to 2090 in one step...
it took them years to reach the 1000-mark, so the next version number morely would be something like 1348 or 1356...  :)

Yes, all we are saying is that there is no avast version 4.8.2090 so it could be a rogue copy, see this link below for the various version numbers and their release dates and you will see no 4.8.2090, there was a 4.8.1290.
