want-to-be ;D  Firefox wants to be an os. ;D ;D ;D
Yes... specially with addons ;)

Well why are you piking on Firefox? It's a good Browser. Yes not the safest compared to opera but the next best thing (if not THE) compared to IE.

Computer Systems:

Intel Pentium 4 641 / 2GB RAM / Vista Home Basic SP2 / avast! 5.0 Home / SAS Free / MBAM Free / Windows Defender / Windows Firewall / Spyware Blaster/ Secunia PSI / Firefox 3.6 / Opera 10.5

Core2Duo T8300 / 4GB RAM / Vista Home Premium SP2 (32 bit version) / Same Software.

If you conveniently forget about the appalling security record of zero-day exploits left unpatched for far too long, providing a Window of opportunity for malware attacks.

Well, I suppose old age does have its advantages.

I use Opera as my main browser. If you decide to choose Opera, I surely hope you get a much more updated version than Opera 8.5 !

I'm not. I'm a Firefox user. Just that I was making a joke with the intentions of Firefox of being a complete operational system ;D

Just because it is the most widely used browser doesn't make any different to its overall security.

The fact that it comes bundled and fully integrated into windows is what makes it the most widely used browser. The same makes it a target, but that also doesn't mean it is less secure because it is a target, but because of vulnerabilities which are exploited long before they get patched.

Thanks again.

Personally have all except IE 8, installed on this Sony machine, i.e. FF, Opera 8.5, and Google Chrome.

But I use either FF or Opera.

What would you smart members recommend when it comes to FF vs. Opera?

Hoping to hear from you as always,

Regards,

Yezinki.

I prefer Opera...
but Firefox would have more plugins... (which I don't need...)

You need to upgrade Opera to 9.64 for a better experience with Opera.
