I know others have their opinions, but I'm just giving another option. By using Avant Browser
http://www.avantbrowser.com, you can disable flash, pictures, scripts, etc. etc. if you want.
It runs off of IE's browsing engine, so if you hate IE, I don't recommend it. If not, it's worth a try.
As I've explained before, the browser was great when I first tried it, now when I download it on a new computer, there's a lot of configuration that I have to do to get it how I like. I guess it's all how you want your browser to look and act though.
