ushUInt.dll-failed DDE error

Have this error when trying to start avast.Can anyone tell me how to fix this? Using Xp.Thank you.

I had to reformat, my teenage daughter had downloaded a program (without my permission) and it had a virus.
It took out some of my window files and it was a mess........lol.I have reinstalled everything and Avast works grrrrr8!!!
