VOLUME CONTROL PROBLEM?
« on: May 18, 2004, 07:09:23 AM »
I have the pro. version of avast but something's wrong. the volume control on my computer is set to a minimum and i can barely hear the sounds on my computer. when i try to turn up the volume from the volume control, the volume cursor is frozen.. DOES THE SETTINGS ON AVAST HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH IT?????

I do not think avast! would effect your computer volume control. Maybe someone else will confirm this.

I confirm CharleyO opinion. No trouble with Windows 98/Me/2000/XP sounds and volume control  :D
Did you scan your system? Maybe it can be a trojan  ::)

does it have anything to do with not having an ODBC driver install?

I can't see any connection between ODBC driver and mixer control. That really shouldn't be the cause...

If you want to download ODBC drivers, try to search www.microsoft.com for MDAC updates (Microsoft Distributed Access Components, I suppose).
