Just some words for said I'm very happy to got Avast antivirus, very good.
Please, where can I get informations about number of signatures of the database ?

You can only see this in Professional Edition and right now it says 26560 entries. But be advised that lots of viruses are covered by generic detection metdhod which can cover whole virus family (i.e. whole Beagle family) so this number is much smaller than it would be if we'd count every version of the same virus/worm.

You can see in Home edition aswell. Select virus database from the simple user interface menu and type * in the virus box, this lists all and the number says 26560.
