Anti-rootkit
« on: July 29, 2009, 08:39:13 AM »
I was just browsing web and security programs websites and I stumble upon this information (I know it is not knew...lol) on GMER.net:

"ALWIL Software has released AVAST 4.8 containing anti-rootkit based on GMER technology."

IS this means that we have GMER's Anti-rootkit incorporated in AV? :o

To be able to do this you need at least 20 posts.
This is a forum limitation to prevent spamming etc.

A quick perusal of the board and Avast's website creates a very solid impression of the GMER technology.

Would be interested to hear what YOUR opinion is about the strength of the anti-rootkit function?

Thanks,
