questions about first scan results............
« on: September 03, 2009, 10:37:32 PM »
First I would like to thank you for making avast available to us.
I've searched the forums, and help for an answer to my question but haven't found anything.
After my first scan avast reported 0 infected files. In the scan results I have 16 files listed as being corrupted. I was wondering what that means? Does it mean the archives are corrupted by a virus, avast can't access them, or the archives aren't packaged right? I'm using Ubuntu 9.04 64bit.
In the picture the home directory is ticked but it was an entire system scan.

The packaging of the file could have some error, or use a non-standard pattern.
I really doubt a virus will cause it.
You don't have to worry that much about that files.
