wjy so many hits

Running avast find many hits and says, "I have infection", yet any other AV doesn't show it or certainly not that many. What's the problem? If this keeps up I'll get rid of avast4, I don't need "false hits" if that's the case.  -----Willy

Don't be so hard on Avast.  Avast is a great program but it can give some false positives.
Other programs may not give false postives, but you then dont know if they are protecting you.
What are the alarms you are getting?
It is hard to say whether they are valid unless you provide some more information.
What is your OS?
Are you trying to run any other anti-virus at the same time?

To make decision if avast! is reporting false positive to you we need to see that files - is it possible to send them to support@asw.cz? Our virus gurus will check them  ;)
