Sorry, that HijackThis log is no good.
You need to install the program to the program files folder on the same disk the OS is on, not onto your "documents and settings" folder.

I see your frind is still running Windows Service Pack 2 so you should recomend install Windows Service Pack 3 that has been available for over a year and contains several Critical Security updates plus performance improvements.

You need to start Internet Explorer then go to Tools then Windows Update and download all of the available updates.

Go to Control Panel then Automatic Updates then select Automatic (recommended) or at least Notify me but don't automatically download or install them.

Purchase the SP3 CD from Microsoft for a small shipping charge then you will be able to use it on your friend's system

Hey..than u for ur reply....actually he was using sp3 before he changed to sp2 and im the one who recommended it to him....cuz i too used sp3 and i had sooooooooooooooooooooooooo many problems...and wen i changed it to sp2 there was nothing.....and the same think happened to him too.....
