Latest Firefox Update (3.5.4)

Hello Forum,

Has anybody noticed an improvement in speed or lower memory usage with Firefox 3.5.4?

After installing the latest update, Firefox is still taking up between 100k and 130k of 'Mem. Usage' in the Task Manager.

My memory is low. before 3.5.4 : 100K and now 60K

I didn't check the speed.

Browsers use memory- that's normal.

'Less' does not equate to 'good'.

Browsers keep pages in memory so 'back' and 'forward' clicks are faster.

The only issue with memory is if it is not released when tabs are closed.

To look for an improvement- use a browser for a few hours with multiple tabs and visit multiple pages. Check memory usage. Close all tabs and memory usage should drop. If the browser is still hogging memory- that's bad. Compare with the latest version.

no speed improvement should be expected before 3.6...

Firefox 3.5.4 fixes the following issues:

    * Several security issues.
    * Fixed several stability issues.
    * Added the ability to re-submit crash reports (bug 378528)
    * After using Clear Recent History some SSL sites would not load all images and styles without pressing reload (see bug 480619)

If u have a big RAM, memory usage of FF is a drop of water in an ocean^^

Anyway my memory usage is about 85K with 2 tabs of anime loaded^^

yeah it's getting sort of funny so hear people still complain as soon as a program exceeds 50 MB in RAM, considering the price of RAM today and the amount available on many systems. The cheapest laptops have more than 2 GB...and 4 is becoming a standard. Yeah I know, my old Pentium II + 64 MB cannot handle it...I know  

edit:I read, but I didn't try it myself, from people leaving Firefox on a few days that it ended up using gigabytes of memory...
