I can understand some folks may be upset. But if all those that joined to complain had dropped by and thanked Avast for all the times it saved their but in the past I may feel a bit sorry for them.

Most have used this product problem free and cost free without a word. But one mistake and everyone cries foul.Whoever was responsible probably feels bad enough without a bunch of people crying for blood.

Whats done is done.Get over it and get on with what you normally do.Unless of course complaining is what you do best.Just my two cents. And no I am not a Avast official.

Wow, a Christian Geek professing anger.  :'(  Could that be considered a virus ???

On a more positive note , "let he who has never made a mistake throw the first stone".

It's ove, the damage is being cleaned up and it's time to move on. We already know this kind of blunder
will never happen again. :)

Perfectly said, there's no reason to keep this going for weeks to come. The damage is done, those who can be helped are being helped. Those who needed to vent have vented. Everyone's said sorry, its time to move on.  :)

Cheers!

Hey, don't get me wrong! I still love avast! Even if I did lose all my data

I still think this is one of the best antivirus solutions in the world! sure, there are a few problems, but ive used Norton, McAfee and AVG and have had problems with them almost all the time! this is the first time avast had a hiccup
and most of the fault is mine, i knew i should have stored my files on a different drive aside from C: or at least keep a back up

Still, I trust avast! just this week it prevented two iFrame Trojans from even connecting to my computer.
And i was visiting regular websites too

I can't begin to count the times, Avast has saved my backside when I clicked on a site that had a nasty in it.  I too have used Norton's before and ran into issues with it not letting me reinstall after I had to have my PC redone due to a...disaster.  :-\ Anyway, I then switched to Avast and have been with it ever since. :D
