Sending infected file
« on: June 14, 2004, 06:54:10 PM »
Avast resident protection found a virus in a file. Trying to repair it, it was impossible. It asked me what to do : move in chest.

Later I sent the file by avast fonction to virus@asw.cz but I receive an e-mail telling me that the message was refused ( error 5.7.1 ).

Can you tell me where the problem comes from ?

Sincerely.

Have you tried virus@avast.com instead?
Providing the name and the path to the virus would be great. :)

Both email addresses are the same; if it was a normal virus, we should be able to remove a virus code from a file (because most of them use 'standard' infection methods) - if it was a worm, the only solution is deleting because it doesnt use any host - and you don't need to send us your infected file; btw, what was the virus name ?
