Win32:Agent-ZMD
« on: December 23, 2009, 06:19:02 PM »
Any info about this strange infection. Olny activates when I try to use USB DVD writer and start DVD fab. Avast detects it in C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.DUMP" file. I delete it. Gone from system until I again activate as discribed above. Blue screen and memory dump occur. have to pull power plug and restart computer. Trj.again detected as before. Any ideas

That's means the crash may have caused by malware or a hardware/software problem.

Did you write the down the error code when the BSOD occurred?

It appears this error shows that it may be related a hardware driver issue such as a USB, network adapter, and/or certain host firewall software.

Are you running Windows XP? If so, Haven't you updated it lately?

the drive works fine until I start DVD fab. somehow the combo of both loads virus. Dvdfab works fine with internal DVD in my computer. same brand as external DVD.virus deleted but reloads when DVDfab and external DVD burner activated together Virus not loaded and all components work OK otherwise
