New version 5 release won't update the database
« on: January 20, 2010, 02:18:07 AM »
First it tells me I have 100119-0 and I need to update to 100119-1.

When I try that it tells me I already have 100119-1.

Click ok, and it tells me I have 100119-0 and I need to update to 100119-1.

I just installed AV Free 5 on another computer, and ran into the same problem.  It says I have 100119-0 and I should update.  When I try to update it tells me I already have 100120-0.  Then it tells me I have 100119-0 and I need to update.

Try a repair of avast as suggested, this has in the past resolved this out of sync issue between reported and actual VPS version.
