4.8 Professional v.s. 5.0 Home Edition
« on: January 21, 2010, 03:10:06 PM »
Due to some unsolvable problems, as title, this is my last choice.

It is an alternative that i have to choose one of them, 4.8 Pressional or 5.0 Home Edition.

Could somebody give me some suggestions about whether I update the version or not.

(ps. The present version of my computer is 4.8 professional )

5.0 Free, It's got the better engine, The behaviorial shield, better interface and is lighter/Faster.
The script shield wont even work with firefox -_-

The browser I use now is PCman which is made by Taiwanese and the structure is similar to IE, as well as IE.

So do I need to keep using professional 4.8 for the script shield?

Thanks for your help.

But what i wanna compare is [4.8 Professional] and [5.0 home] edition.
So it seems that the table you provide can not help me solve my problem.

But, I still appreciate your great help. :)

so you mean you don't have 4.8/pro. Good news, you can't buy it anymore. You're gonna have to choose between V5/free, V5/pro, or V5/IS.

ps: if you do have 4.8, you can compare yourself its features (present on your system) to the reference table of V5...keeping in mind that all equivalent features (when compared to V4) on V5 are more advanced obviously...hey, it's a new version.

I am using 4.8 professional version now.

I know what you mean that it is a new version.
But what I concern is what i am using now is professional.

it is like the comparison of either "professional versus home edition", or "4.8 (dated) versus 5.0 (new)".

It is really a paradoxical dilemma.

so just compare what you see in your interface to what is shown in V5 comparison table, what's the problem?  ;) Otherwise just download any version of V5 and try it...

edit: anyway you should be able to get a pro license exchange for V5/pro. There are too many parameters that have changed, you'll have to see for yourself or browse the forums.

Yep,

Maybe, I can learn sth by just doing (trying ).
But i hope the alternation of installation and uninstallation won't hurt my computer.
