Automatic Virus Deletion
« on: June 22, 2004, 05:40:24 PM »
I work at a small office and Avast is installed here on our systems. Does anyone know of a way to keep the screen from popping up everytime a virus is detected? We have a ladies computer that gets over a hundred a day and most of them are old and all she has to do is click delete. So is there a way to set Avast up so when it detects a virus it automatically deletes the file without the window popping up?

Hi,

please read here:
http://forum.avast.com/index.php?board=9;action=display;threadid=4818;start=15
about "Differences between the Home and the Professional version"

I hope you have the avast PROF edition in your office ?

Then it should be able via the enhanced user interface..

set mailscan-provider to silent mode & select "move to chest" (which may be better than "Delete")  as action.. ;)

Right click the Task (for instance Resident provider or any other).
Choose Properties.
You will see a page of properties called 'Virus'
Set the actions that must be taken. I suggest:
Repair <if failed> Send to Chest <if failed> Interactive action  ;)
