I was just playing with Eicar (to check if I could get an smtp/network.printer alert...(btw only tests work, not real word conditions, so with Eicar I got nothing) . As I didn't get any smtp alert with Eicar, after the web shield blocked the connection, I tried with just file shield on, didn't work either but that's not the problem here. The problem is that when I reactivated the web shield, it didn't scan pages immediately, had to stop it and restart it again. It was then scanning but couldn't intercept the Eicar download connection anymore, and that's while trying again and again that Avast crashed completely. When starting restarting again, the web shield kept having the same weird behavior, so I rebooted, and it works fine again, and the printer alert works too now (but not the smtp)
