A really stupid question about the 'Virus Database Has Been Updated' graphic

Here's the stupid question: what's the little symbol to the left of the 'X' at the top of the graphic?  I haven't been game enough to click on it to find out!

you mean the pin...... .......if you click it the popup will stay there untill you click it away....

Why would you want it to stay there?  You must have seen it to pin it, so why keep it there?

Various reasons...

- you can't read it in time before it disappears
- so you can take a screenshot
- to show someone else

that's all I can think of for now...

the format is the same for all popups, be it updates or detections, the pin is there to be used.
