Trojan in Temporary Internet Files
« on: April 01, 2010, 05:53:25 AM »
Avast free found a trojan in the following location:

C:\Users\Name\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Low\Content.IE5\QUANU714\in.[1].htm

The name is HTML:Framer-inf[Trj]

When I try to delete/quarantine/repair, Avast spits out the following error message: The system cannot find the file specified (2)

I usually use Chrome, but I'm not the only one with access to the computer, the other person is using IE. Anyways, I tried manually deleting IE's temporary internet files to no avail. Avast found the file in the same place, I didn't restart, but I would assume that wouldn't make any difference?

I scanned with Malware Bytes but it wasn't able to locate the file.

I'm not sure where to go from here, and was hoping for some help, thanks.

Actually thought about downloading CCleaner, but didn't. Anyways, it seems to have solved the issue. Thanks!
