Hi Logos,

Flash should be left, there are other and better ways to render the functionality,

Hi Polonus,

so be surprised, I was actually shocked by Job's position concerning flash player until now, i.e. until I read his explanations about iPhone and iPad development which would obviously suffer from relying on flash.
This said, Jobs saying that Apple owned 20% of Adobe in the past, that they were their first customer is very nice, but they shouldn't forget how many guys acquired a MAC to run Photoshop in the first place, before it became available for Windows, and even after that, it's tens of thousand of designers who acquired a MAC for this reason...

Hi Logos,

Not directly related but worth reading: http://techrights.org/2009/02/08/microsoft-evilness-galore/
On topic from there: http://techrights.org/2010/04/30/adobe-trash-player-and-dot-net/

thanks for these links that's interesting. On a side note, I always found flash player runs flawlessly on Linux 32 bit (any distro...that I've used); experienced a few problems on 64 bit Linux but solved them. Concerning "moonlight" (MS Linux version of Silverlight; not sure if it's OSS, I don't think so, and I believe it's Novell developing it in collaboration with MS), it worked like shit, ie it didn't work for me.

...yeah...I'm getting more and more convinced that Job was/is right to dismiss flash... especially after the explanations he gave in his open letter to Adobe.

Hi Logos,

You read the pro's and the con's and then you can gradually make up your own mind. It is always the best to look at an issue from various angles, not parrot any general view and then come to a certain insight. Well that is the way I investigate,

Logos is my favorite parrot.  ;D

if it's was a joke I wouldn't mind...may be...but coming from you I have doubts...mixing cheap pseudo jokes with cheap intentions is more your style... could you elaborate on this, a few examples may be ? no? thought so ::) another opportunist post Kenny Yo? You've done that once before (with me) IIRC, and I do remember correctly generally.

edit: what makes me think that you're not gonna be able to reply this post? ;D

Hi Logos,

This is what is meant by reading anything personal in someone's other words, in this case mine. And about parroting:
parrots are not exactly found to cooperate in turning long threads of interesting discussions on various security-related subjects in forums; we do....
