No Email splash screen with MS Outlook 2010

I was using Outlook 2007 and when I opened the email program, I always got the
avast! splash screen.

I just upgraded to Outlook 2010 and ughhh no more avast! splash screen !

Is this just an avast! upgrade waiting to happen or ??

When I open the avast! control panel, it says my email protection is up.

I just want a splash screen for warm & fuzzy feelings.

From what I understand, Avast splash screen/toolbar runs using MAPI and Outlook 2010 doesn't use MAPI anymore. k.u.r.t. said they were prepping an update to support that, but it appears it isn't ready yet.  I did see that a small update is coming soon in another thread so maybe it will be updated then.

This is all assuming you installed the x86 version of Office 2010 and not the x64 version ....
