Avast 5.0.594 Free Update issue

Windows 7 64bit
Just installed from Scratch

Failing to Update the Definitons, Do i have to uninstall from scratch again, Free version is on 6 other PC's in the House, and working fine for those Machines, i don't know why it's not on this one, can anyone help

Please check your space/drivers

That may be the problem

Drivers are Fine, Hard drive Space is fine, over 100gbs free

Setup log i can post if needed

Just want the program to update right, like the other 6 PC's

What errors are you getting during the update ?

What happens when you do a manual update (avastUI, Maintenance, Update, Update engine and virus database) ?

What is your firewall ?
Does it allow avast.setup internet access ?
- If it does delete the entry for it and do a manual update, this should force the firewall to ask permission again.

Manual update says already up to date, WIndows 7 Security Center says out of date, as well as Avast summary does, firewall is Windows 7 64bit built in Firewall, internet modem has been reset

Previous av was Microsoft Security Essentials, properly removed

Check the system date and ensure that the day/month/year are correct and adjust as required.

The win7 firewall, whilst it has outbound protection I believe that is disabled by default.

Date and time are correct

I'm not sure on the outbound firewall protection or not here in Windows 7 64bit, it maybe disabled by default as you state, really all i want is antivirus updating right somehow

Ok issue solved

removed, and then reinstalled, and now updates right
