When in manual update mode tray icon no animate,in auto mode icon animate. 5.0.677 pro.When scanning.

It shouldn't rotate while updating... but while scanning.
I think that you're seeing the animation due to a scanning occurring at that particular time you're updating.

When manually scanning, there are other progress indicators.  The tray icon doesn't animate during manual scans.  If it does, it is because it is concurrently scanning something else by being triggered by an event, such as loading a program or downloading a file.
