I had internet explorer / firefox connection this morning, took an hour break and watched the Sapranos........
Tried to access Firefox and internet explorer again, but it came up but couldn't connect.
I could manually update avast, also updated spybot search$destroy no problem.
Talked to a tech and he said avast was preventing connection with something 80? connection 80? its what the browser uses to get to the net.
Anyways, disabling avast let me use IE and firfox again...........googled the problem and found people with webshield preventing the connections.
I disabled the avast webshield and everything works fine!!!!!!
There must have been an automatic update this morning while i was watching tv to cause this.
Anyway, avast works, but i dont have websheild.........
