ZSecurity Internet Security possible rouge
« on: November 26, 2010, 11:20:42 AM »
Hey All :)

I would like to know if this a rouge (Fake AV)

those who want to analyze it here is the link to download it http://download.cnet.com/ZSecurity-Internet-Security/3000-18510_4-11097543.html?tag=contentMain;contentBody

here is the so called homepage of the ZSecurity http://www.zsecurity.com (I have googled a bit and guess what i found.... I found that http://www.zsecurity.net was expired... same name just swiched from .net to .com)

I am asking because I find it strange that the producer is F-security

May I join the malware hunter/research group or something like that?

Thanks

Regards,

If someone wants to see how the possible rouge looks like  here is a link http://www.softpedia.com/progScreenshots/ZSecurity-Deluxe-Protection-Screenshot-135787.html

I hardly believe that F-secure would make any other company... I will check it up and let you know.

I have contacted F-secure and I hope I will get an answer. I will keep you update when I have new news.

[to Pondus] thanks for your reply
