Well... I was not brave enough to test restoration.
My first impressions on Keriver are:
Pros
1. Ability to choose where to save the snapshots. Even to move them anytime.
2. Works on background.
3. Restore files needed to boot/recover (security and credibility). Although, it's mandatory and not by user control.
4. Three types of backup (feature missed on Macrium Free): full, incremental and differential.

Cons
1. The "always restore" MBR loader could be a pain. I know it is for security. But it could have a rescue CD for the ones who want to have control of MBR or even use another application that needs it, like Acronis or Comodo Time Machine.
2. The icon on system tray could really have a better graphic...
3. The scheduling is not customizable, i.e., the backups are always differential (not full or incremental). You can only rename the task, you can't even change the scheduling...
4. There isn't a priority control, i.e., backup could take much more resources while running without user control. Macrium Reflect has this feature.

Hi,
Thanks for your reviews. That's great and we will do our best to improve the products continuously.

Best,
River
