I just purchase Ver 5 Avast Internet Suite.... after install... no sound ...

I check windows have sound enable ..... can hear windows bootup etc ...

I also check sound in Avast enable ...also enable or disable the voice oversound....

Still silent....

Any help ?

If you look in the Gui summary make sure silent/gaming mode is not turned on..AS WELL as in the settings section under Silent/Gaming Mode make sure you do not have the check box checked.

1) Setting --- sound --- all check ..
2) setting --- slient/game mode --- all uncheck
3) Game mode --- off

Click on the sound file at the Programdata --Avast folder ..1033 .... all can hear...

When AV DB updatedd....slient .... only have the popup ..

Strange problem..! Never heard of anything similar...

Try "repair" of Avast. (control panel - add remove programs - Avast change/remove - scroll down to repair)

does firewall rule exclude about your sound driver..check firewall rules

After spend a day ... I decided to reformat the whole com ... in clean OS... and upon install Avast ...it work .
Donno why the sound dead ...

I guess... reinstall windows  ....is the way ..

before format try to repair avast & uninstall and reinstall your sound driver..maybe work
