Avast! created a "unknow hardware"
« on: December 27, 2010, 02:51:47 AM »
and every time I reboot, the OS searches for suitable drivers for it.  I'm quite sure it's an Avast! issue as
the Device Instance Id lists ROOT\LEGACY\AVAST!_ANTIVIRUS\0000.
Anyone else experience this while installing Avast! and if so, how did you get rid of the bogus hardware in the Device Manager?

Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.

Al

what did you try yourself already?
which OS version are we talking about?
which Avast version?

if your administrator on the device then you can delete it from the list
then try reinstalling avast with a newly downloaded file.

ps: you probably are a home user so you in the wrong forum part, even if its business its still the wrong part since this part is about the bart rescue cd
