license key

i downloaded this program  and recieved my license key....when i copy and paste it in....it comes back as an invalid password

Hi Alan, sorry for the stupid question but does that mean you are entering your licence key as a password?
It should be entered by right clicking the 'A' ball in the system tray followed by 'about Avast' and then click the licence key button to access a box where you can paste the key.
Sorry for wasting your time if you are entering it correctly.

Which program? Home or Pro?
If you downloaded the trial version of Avast! Pro, then the key will not work.

If you downloaded the trial version of Avast! Pro, then the key will not work.

In fact, it will, when you add the key of Home version, your trial version will be 'converted' into the Home version. If you add the Professional version key, you`ll get full avast. The program identifies the key and become the correct version (Home or Pro) after you enter the password.

Better if you copy & paste from your email to the About dialog of the avast  ;)
