Win32:Rootkit-gen[Rtk]

Avast! Free version has detected this threat on my computer but the file is missing so it cannot do anything to this threat. I have looked for this file in the user file listed the appdata file is not there so the rest of this file is missing too. What do I need to do to remove this threat now?

You need the help of essexboy, trained malware expert; he has been notified. He will ask you to do somethings, make sure you obey him.

While @essexboy does not come online I'll will help you.

First you need to do diagnostics.

Download DDS and save it to your Desktop from here:
http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/dds.scr

Double click dds to run the tool.

    * When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
         1. DDS.txt
         2. Attach.txt
Save both reports to your desktop. Post DDS.txt back to topic.
