ADNM detection of rouges?
« on: September 02, 2004, 10:47:06 AM »
Hi

Quick question about ADNM.  Does it have the ability to detect new machines on the network as they appear, that are not managed by ADNM and don't have Avast AV installed on them?  And if so, does it also have the ability to automatically roll out the AV product to the detected rouge machines?

Thanks
Simon

1. Yes
2. Yes

For more info, please refer to chapter 6.6.2 in the ADNM Quick Start Guide.

Hope this helps,
Vlk

Hi VLK  8),

This is one of our resellers. I`ve had a look in the document but its still not that clear how does ADNM find the machines - by IP/Browse/discovery?

Please could you give us a little bit of that info.

Many thanks as always   ;D

By using a discovery task (as described in the document).
The discovery task uses Window Domain and/or ActiveDirectory lookup.
