help asap, got the win32-trojen-gen

i don't know how to get rid of it,  i did a virus scan useing avast free virsion virus finder and it kept poping up left and right with alerts i have 15-20 files with trojens, and i don't know how to clean them cause when i try to scan again or move to chest it tells me an error was made while trying,  how do i get rid of this before it kills my computer first.

Deleting such files in Windows Safe mode is allways a good choice, but you can make a Boardsearch for "trojan", there you will find some more information. Where do all these Trojans? In which folders. YOu can identify some of these Trojans by using this link: http://www.kaspersky.com/remoteviruschk.html than we are able to give you some more exact answers.

its called the Win32:Sobig but which one i am still trying to get that,

Hm, now i am a bit confiused. What do you use Avasts free  Homeversion or Avast specail cleaner( http://www.avast.com/i_idt_171.html ), the cleaner is able to desinfect the Sobig worm. Try it!

Hi,

you can get special Cleaner Tools for all Sobig-Versions from
www.symantec.com or www.bitdefender.com

download them, reboot your PC in SafeMode (Press F8 when booting) and login as Administrator if you have WIN NT,2000 or XP
temporarily deactivate Avast-residentScanner, then run the tool (best twice) and rescan your system with uptodate Avast, re-enable Avast-residentScanner afterwards..

As Raman correctly pointed out, our avast virus cleaner is able to handle all Sobig variants without any problems. Just go to this page: http://www.avast.com/i_idt_171.html, download the program and run it. Please note that some Sobig variants download and install some other Trojan horses from the net so it is wise to rescan your computer after disinfection...
