The installation went very smoothly.  I installed with no problems with Windows 7 Firewall, AIS, Prevx all running.  Only thing I noticed was that 3 updates didn't happen, but they were probably superseded by the service pack, since after reboot they were not prompted for reinstall.  No problems until the sudden BSOD, which hasn't reoccurred since SafeZone died. http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=71848.0.

Did the update via Windows Update and the download was a pain on the neck and my Internet connection is good (took almost 30 minutes to download 70~ MB).
Asked for a reboot and took almost 15min to shutdown. The rest of procedure went a bit slow.
Now it's all OK as far I can see with avast! working with no issues.

I checked for update on my win7 starter edition only to be told my system was up to date, I guess they haven't modified the one for the win7 32bit starter version yet.

Maybe it's somehow Windows related, as I have all 4 updates installed here without any problems... SafeZone works OK.

w7 64bit
100sMB online install from WU failed after 1h crunching (even after running the migitation hotfix to ensure nothing is corrupt lol)
900+MB offline install successful after 2.5h crunching

PITA style i would say

Well, I tried to update, Comodo (in Training mode) gave me problem (caused update progress freeze and also comodo itself get a high-cpu usage. so I uninstalled comodo (I guess forever) and stick my to Security suite.
after uninstall comodo, windows update installed service pack (60MB) easily and quickly with no problem
