Unknown error
« on: July 18, 2003, 12:23:30 AM »
Anyone know how to fix this problem:
When I run a scan of all local drives the following error appears at the end of the scan.

Unknown error
Scan completed with error
3 = the system cannot find the path specified

I have tried all three levels of scan, quick, standard and thorough but get the same error.

I have checked the event viewer but no error messages are displayed in any area, avast, system, application or security.

The boot scan does not display the error.

I have repaired and reinstalled avast 4 but no luck. I am running XP Pro SP1 and avast database is 0307.0 and program is 4.0.235

Any ideas? ???

Can you list harddrives drives you have currently available on your computer, please? And is it possible to look into program logs for any error record (there is menu item for it in simple user interface)?

Roman

Problem solved now. My hard drive had three partitions, one of which was not formatted.

Formatting the partition solved the problem.

Thanks for a great product.
