Might be a silly question but i MUST ask ...
« on: March 08, 2011, 06:47:36 AM »
hi

im new hr

i was using avast 5.1.8 until i update it to 6.0.1000.

now the question is, it cant update automatically also the popups about "definition update" or "threat detected" doesn't show in this new version i.e. 6.0.1000, in 5.1.8 whenever i log on to my windows it updates automatically and also give threat detected popups.

popups no popups doesn't bother me but how to set automatic updates time wise eg. i want to update it 2 times in 1 day, how could i do that ???

thnx

Did you reboot after the upgrade?

What product do you have installed?

Have you tried an Avast Repair:
- Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove programs > Avast Antivirus.
- Scroll down and choose Repair function in the pop-up window.
- Reboot.

Just leave it at the default settings. This will make Avast search for updates every 240 minutes. (Can be found under Settings -> Updates)

You will also need to reboot again after installing 6.0.1000.
