« on: October 12, 2004, 03:10:34 PM »
Bonjour,

When I scan my computer, avast4 home edition often finds a trojan that it didn't detected before by the resident protection. Why ?

- What file is detected as infected?
- What is its location?
- What OS are you using?
- What are the settings in Avast? (thorough? archive scanning enabled? etc)

I don't remember. I think it was a temporary file of my son, a file from the web, likely a stupid game file.

Windows xp

I select thorough scan. never archive...

I'd rather that malwares be stopped by the resident protection.

By the way, I just changed my browser. I used IE but I downloaded Firefox and set it as my default browser. I'have installed thunderbird as mail. But it was the same problem with IE.
