Is there a way to scan for a virus before starting windows. Can I put the program on a floppy and start up with it. Thanks in advance for your help. Otis

If you have Windows XP/2k you can just schedule a boot time scanning... Too easy if you run avast, right click the skin and choose it into the menu.

On Windows 9x, well, you can make a CD (not a floppy) with avast! for DOS or use Bart CD. See 'Links' on my signature and browse for avast  :)
