Avast and Microsoft Outlook 2007
« on: July 12, 2011, 02:31:29 PM »
In my enterprise there is Avast with 20 clients (ver 4.8) and an ADNM Management Console. The license will expire on september 2012 and I can't upgrade nothing before (I think).
I have a problem in some clients with Outlook 2007. When Outlook verifies if there are new mails the pc is freeze and is impossible to work with others programs.
I'm sure that the cause is Avast because I have uninstalled it. Without it all works well.
I have excluded on avast the directory there Outlook has the pst files and I have used ssl for the pop3 and smtp server without any good result.
How can I do for resolve my problem?
How can I disable the avast mail provider?
On avast Antivirus (managed) I can't access to advanced user interface.

I'm afraid, that there is no upgrade package. ABP is not higher version of ADNM, but brand new product. So you can not upgrade, but migrate. And migration to new product is something else, than upgrade product some years developed...
You have to decide - test and migrate or wait for ADNM connector for Avast 6.
