Problem: running a bootscan ..

I have tried several times to do a new bootscan but get a mesage there is a keyboard error. Can someone explain how I might fix that. I'm green and been tackling so many other pc problems. Thanks so much.
I am using WinXP home ed. I.E 6.0

Hookup a PS2 keyboard or check the bios settings on USB support for the keyboard.
I bet you have a USB keyboard
