Hi, Guys  :) has been a while, just thought I'd update.

When I was having this problem it was happening regularly but not really often (not every day, just every so often).  I was using the paid version of Avast during that time (only had the paid version one year).  I had to go back to the free version after a year and somewhere along the line I realized the problem had stopped.

It may have been a coincidence that the problem stopped after going back to the free Avast?  can't say for sure.  But it did appear that Avast was related to the problem before that, because, after rebooting, Avast was the one program that would not run correctly until I rebooted again.

That's all I know, except it's sure nice not to have the problem anymore!
