Does Avast! Supports Iran for its Internet Security version?
« on: August 08, 2011, 03:06:30 PM »
Hello,
I've tested Avast! , Avira , Eset , Kaspersky , BitDefender and a lot more in the past 3 months

by far, Avast! and Avira are the best,
but Avira slows down the download speed with IDM(Internet Download Manager) and it doesn't allow more than 1 connection
the others are just horrible, Kaspersky Pure and Bitdefender are slowing the computer showing a lot of useless alerts wow i'll never use them again,
of course i've tested malicious softwares and websites too, all are fine in some ways, i just wish your software had a better registry cleaner to clean registry after deleting trojans or viruses though its better than many others but some bugs were left in registry after deleting some trojans on my older laptop

nevertheless i've decided to buy Avast! Internet Security
a friend of mine in outside the country will buy me the license and send it to me,

i just want to be sure you support Iran's IP address,

because when i used your Trial version of IS, there were no automatic update with local IP(its a valid IP and the same IP i have now), as soon as i connected to my VPN connection it starts downloading Updates,

have you disabled auto update for Iran's IP?

is it ok if my friend buys and i use your software in Iran?

BTW how do i modify my signature putting information in there, i didn't find it in "Modify Profile" section.

Thanks in advance

I don't believe there is any restriction in where avast can be used, they don't exercise any restriction as far as I'm aware. The only restriction avast could be using is checking the license is valid for the avast! application being used.

I can't say the same if a country may have access restrictions for out of country IP addresses.

You need 20 posts to be able to edit your profile and use the PM function:
The problem comes from drive by spammers, who having registered put objectionable or commercial links in their profile signature to try and gain link promotion, etc.

There have also been cases of the PM function being abused to spam forum members, so you will notice that you can't use the PM function either.

Unfortunately because of the actions of others, legitimate members suffer by the actions to prevent this spamming.

Yes, an AIS licence is for 3 pc's. So users can share/give a licence with/to others, as long as it won't be used on more than a total of 3 pc's. Like David said, we are not aware of any restrictions in where Avast! can be used.
