Active X Blocking with Avast
« on: August 17, 2011, 05:08:41 PM »
I'm trying to run an Active X app and have given the site permission to run it on IE. However nothing happens. I've tried it with other browsers such a Chrome and Firefox as well with the same result. Is my Avast AV blocking Active X somehow, and how do I allow it for sites I want?

Well since neither Firefox or Chrome have activeX, thank god, your activeX app won't work.

Avast doesn't block, but scans and alerts to infection and clearly that doesn't happen (or you would have mentioned it). So avast doesn't specifically block activeX.
