That to me is pretty strange, as normally it is because of the changed processes/components in a program update that might cause the blocking experienced. So when dropping back to the previous avast version, those processes/components would be as they were and appear to pass through OA without problem.

To me that tends to conform OA blocking the updated components, rather than there being a problem with the latest beta. Otherwise we would be seeing many more such problems in the forums by the avast beta and OA users and we aren't seeing this.

I'm convinced if you installed the beta and then reinstalled OA it would detect the programs/component currently installed in its learning mode without problem. Unfortunately the OA users haven't graced us with their presence.

Hold off on that update there is an issue in the GUI, where the shields aren't recording any activity. The icon still rotates and the summary reports your system is secured.

Thanks davidR for the update news. There isa beta testing of OA going on with the new build i will do a clean install. Hope that will solve the problem. Untill then Thank you again for your help and concern.  :)

@gautam7,

I don't know about other programs' betas, but I'd suggest not testing 2 betas simultaneously. I mean, don't try OA beta AND simultaneously an Avast beta. So, keep using Avast stable 6.0.1203 for now.

Beyond that, please wait with the new Avast releases. Although a new stable version is supposed to be released, it seems there are still some problems (and I'm referring to 1289, no the previous 1287).

You're welcome.

The new release 6.0.1289 that resolves the problem I mentioned, so this is a regular release. http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=84297.0

As mentioned testing two security based betas isn't advised as you have to have some consistency otherwise if there is any problem of conflict only one application has changed.
